You get home and spend hours just staring at this tiny bundle, not quite believing they are yours. You are filled with hopes and dreams for the future, everything feels new and exciting.
Time goes so quickly… we can't slow it down, but a newborn photoshoot allows you to hold onto these moments forever. A beautiful newborn photography session will capture those tiny details and emotions that you never want to forget.
That is exactly what I aim to create during your newborn photoshoot in my professional photography studio in Ongar, Essex, close to London.
I specialise in newborn baby photography and I have over 13 years of photography experience, with years of training in newborn posing and safe baby-led photography. Your baby's comfort and safety are always my number one priority, and every newborn photo session is calm, gentle, and completely stress-free. From tiny fingers and sleepy yawns to those first precious cuddles, my newborn baby photoshoots are designed to celebrate every beautiful detail of your newborn. As a specialist baby photographer serving Essex and London, I create a calm, unhurried environment where your baby can truly settle — resulting in natural, timeless images you will treasure for life.
WHEN SHOULD YOU BOOK?
I always recommend booking your newborn photography session early to guarantee availability around your baby's arrival. I only take a limited number of newborn bookings each month, so I can give every family the time and care they deserve.
Because babies rarely arrive exactly on time, I book your session provisionally around the 10th day after your due date. If your baby arrives earlier or later, we can easily reschedule to a firm date.
If your baby has already arrived, please contact me as I sometimes have last-minute availability for a newborn photoshoot in Ongar, Essex — easily accessible from London and surrounding areas.
PRICING
To secure your newborn session a £99 booking fee is required. This fee acts as a deposit and will be deducted from the cost of your chosen photography collection.
Newborn sessions usually take between 3–3.5 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, settling and gentle baby-led posing. All newborn props and outfits are included, and mums have full access to my studio wardrobe. I will also send you a guide on what the rest of the family should wear. I usually start with baby in a wrap, then nude, then in an outfit, but we can change the order to suit you. Family photographs are also included in your session.
After your session, I will show you your images and you will then choose your photography collection. The smallest collection purchase is required on the day of your session.
Within 1–2 weeks after your session, I will create an online gallery with all your images, and you can select the ones you would like edited. You will have one week to make your selections. Your final edited images will be ready within 2 weeks of your selection.
If you would like your session on a weekend, there is a small additional fee of £50 added to your package price.

NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY FAQS
When should I book my newborn photoshoot?
As early as possible during your pregnancy. I book your session provisionally for around 10 days after your due date, and we simply move it to suit when your baby arrives.
How old should my baby be?
Newborn sessions are best in the first two weeks, while babies are sleepy and curly. If your baby is older, please contact me, as I may still have availability.
Is newborn photography safe?
Yes. Your baby’s comfort and safety are always my number one priority. I have years of training in newborn posing and safe, baby-led photography, and every pose follows your baby’s cues.
How long does a newborn session take?
Usually 3 to 3.5 hours, so there is plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling.
What should we bring?
Just everything you need to feed and change your baby. All newborn outfits, wraps and props are provided, mums can use my studio wardrobe, and I will send you a guide on what the rest of the family can wear.
Can siblings and pets join?
Yes, family and sibling photos are included, and pets are very welcome too.
Where is the studio?
